American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Begins Three-Year Collaboration to Help Improve the Health of Philadelphians

 The Philadelphia Marathon and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) announced Tuesday that they have embarked on a new three-year partnership to expand the City’s commitment to improving the health of its citizens. Dedicated to preventing and curing all cancers, the AACR supports activities that encourage the public to lead a healthy lifestyle as research shows this can help reduce the risk of cancer. (August 23, 2016) The Philadelphia Marathon Announces Debut of 39.3 Rocky Challenge 

Today the Philadelphia Marathon, recently named one of the Best Marathons in the Northeast, officially announced the latest enhancement to its 2016 Race Weekend- the inaugural 39.3 Rocky Challenge. This new addition encourages runners to take on the ultimate Philly challenge by facing 13.1 miles of the half marathon on Saturday, November 19 and then 26.2 miles of the full marathon on Sunday, November 20.
